„Visions” Violin Concerto by Stanisław Słowiński evokes a musical bridge between all-time romantic solo forms and the legacy of violin as a lead instrument in jazz and improvised music.

The Author’s creative process was originally inspired by classical violin canon – primarily romantic violin concertos, and went on to combine these inspirations with the heritage of great Polish composers: H. M. Górecki or K. Szymanowski to name but a few. Słowiński’s fondness for improvisation as well as his gained-on-tour experience as a jazz violinist and bandleader (over 100 performances last year in clubs and at festivals all over the world) contribute to the final shape of his work.
